I wanted to run yesterday, but delayed that after feeling my knee after Friday's hard intervals.
Göd - Alsó-Göd - Puszta - Dunakeszi - Fót - Csomád - Felső-Göd
I took Benji my vizsla with me - it's good to have companionship, but I remembered quickly why running with a dog is not always the best. In the first 5km I am normally starting slow and warming into my run; Benji is just so excited he is almost pulling me over and I cannot relax and have to tell him to slow down and pull him back.
Running up hills is good - sometimes he gives me a little pull, but downhill I want to relax, but he is pulling me again :( Often I have to stop to pull the lead from under his front leg, or let him drink if there is water, or 'make his mark'
Anyway, after 5km it works out ok - as long as there aren't any loose dogs as that is always unpredictable...
Nasty hill in the middle of this, but managed not to stop. At about 20km, we saw a deer very close which panicked and galloped away from us. Benji nearly pulled me over again! :)
Strong wind in our faces at the end, but managed to keep going.
I felt the knee through the run and felt my achilles - probably a result of running up a steep hil in sand.
This week was another record for distance. I may take the next week easier - need to avoid injuries, and then Szob - Felső-Göd next Sunday.
