A week without running - not the best preparation for a marathon!
I had wanted a long run yesterday, but couldn't with work commitments. So this morning a tempo run!
I woke up and didn't feel like it, but made myself go.It was a bit cold, but I slowly got into the warm-up, but wasn't really ready for a tempo run, but forced myself. Towards the end it was good, but I felt the week off and too much good food and wine!
A few more runs, and I will try to make sure I don't overdo the taper (rest) before the marathon, I need to keep the fitness and the sharpness.
I think I'll go for a 3h30, but maybe I'll run the first 12km at 4m40 pace and see where I am when Nick and Pierre join me for their 30km. Perhaps I'll try a pb, not sure.
