A run with Michael. this was a bit slow, but distance is the key issue here.
We decicded in our wisdom last night to run from Slovakia. We stayed together until after the hill leading to Vac, then I left Michael.
Even then, I have to wonder. I thought my pace was good, but 5 minute / km at the end is not great - though stopping for a water does of course take a few minutes out.
Can I cut all 42km down to 4:35 in April. I have my doubts, even with a great taper and some awesome speed training with the half marathons.
At least I have proved to myself that I can run the distance now. Can I round the training off with the speed. I hope so......

Congrats! And this is a very nice way along the cycle path, I also ran it several times (Dunamenti 150 km)...
Just a note, you need the speed on the race and not on your trainings so 5:24 doesn't seem bad. (I had different numbers, but when I prepared for a race, the long trainings was always slow. I usually ran around 6:30, to reach 5:20-5:30 on a race, and it managed) I know, it's hard to keep the lower speed, because you are worried about your muscles became slothful ( I'm not sure it's a perfect word), but If you also have some rapid trainings, it's enough...
