Zöldgomb futofesztival. Perfect running conditions on my home race.
2nd place :) :) :) first place in my age group :) :)
I have never been on the podium before.
The target before the race was originally 2:15, then my plan said slower - 2:30 for 32km, so I revised it to 2:20. Of course I can't run slower :)
Half way through the first lap, I was watching carefully to see at the turnaround, how many red numbers (3/4 marathoners) were in front of me. None! At the turn around I overtook one.
I stayed ahead until the begining of lap 3 and one guy passed me - eventually he finished 4 minutes ahead of me. My left calf muscle was not good on the last lap, so I took it a little easier.
Debrecen next weekend, I hope my calf muscle can take a slightly faster pace!
